What Interns Do

• Experience drilling, completions, and production firsthand
  Assist with well design and drilling activities, visit active rigs, observe field operations, and gain exposure to hydraulic fracturing and completion operations.
• Follow a well from spud to production
  Learn how drilling, completions, and production teams work together to bring a well online and establish long-term production.
• Work alongside production teams in the field
  Spend time with production engineers, pumpers, and field leadership while visiting active well sites and participating in day-to-day operations.
• Learn how wells are optimized
  Analyze production performance, gain exposure to rod pumps and plunger lift systems, observe workover operations, and see how artificial lift decisions improve well performance.
• Gain exposure to the full operating environment
  Experience drilling, completions, production, HSE, water management, contractors, and service companies.
• Understand how field decisions drive performance
  Assist with production reporting and operational decision-making while seeing how multiple disciplines work together to safely and efficiently produce oil and gas.

What Interns Do

• Explore geology and subsurface data
  Review well logs, geological data, maps, and other subsurface information to understand formations, reservoirs, and potential drilling opportunities.
• Identify and evaluate drilling prospects
  Help generate geological maps, evaluate reservoir characteristics, estimate reserves, and assess potential drilling locations.
• Gain hands-on land experience
  Conduct title research, verify mineral ownership, assist with leasing and acquisitions, and learn how land and regulatory considerations shape exploration decisions.
• Work across disciplines
  Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, landmen, attorneys, and other exploration professionals to evaluate opportunities and develop drilling recommendations.
• Understand the business of exploration
  Evaluate the economics of drilling opportunities and see how technical, geological, land, and business considerations come together in investment decisions.
• Experience how exploration decisions are made
  Gain a practical understanding of how geology, engineering, land, regulations, and economics work together to move a prospect from an idea toward a successful project.

What Interns Do

  Learn how corporate teams support exploration, operations, finance, accounting, land, and other areas of the company.
• Work within a functional area
  Gain hands-on experience in areas such as accounting, land, human resources, IT, or other corporate functions while contributing to real projects and day-to-day business activities.

  For land-focused interns, assist with title research, mineral ownership, division order analysis, leasing, and other activities that support the company’s assets and operations.
• Analyze information and support business decisions
  Work with financial, operational, personnel, or other business data to help teams understand performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.
• Collaborate across the organization
  Work with professionals from multiple departments and learn how corporate teams coordinate with exploration and operations to support the company’s goals.
